Joe Pinkston's death was a great loss to criminal history. He devoted his life to correcting the myths surrounding the life of John Dillinger. Never again will there be a Historian like Joe Pinkston. He interviewed more people who knew John Dillinger (who have since passed on) than any other Writer in history.
